September 27, 2013. People have been asking for an update on my health so I thought I would put one here. This past February specialists at U of M were finally able to figure out what has been causing me years of pain in my legs and hips. They determined that I have muscular dystrophy. It is a rare adult onset version. MD usually affects children but it can affect adults. Unfortunately there is no cure for MD so all they can hope to do is try to control the pain as the desease progresses. As if that wasn't enough, for the past 3 years I have had some difficulty catching my breath. This past March, my breathing became very bad very quickly. They said my MD will affect my diaphragm eventually but that wasn't my problem. After two lung byopcies they found out that my lungs were scaring over rapidly. 75% of my lungs are scared over, although they don't know why. While talking to the specialist at U of M about a lung transplant he wanted me to try getting rid of my doves since he thought it could be a allergic reaction. The doves have been gone for 4 months now and though my lungs haven't got any better, they stopped getting worse. Please keep me and my family in your prayers. I know the Great Healer and I know that with God nothing is impossible. I am still performing with the help of my fabulous family. They help me with the loading and the setup and tear down. God gives me the strength to get through the shows as He always has. I am so blessed!
